Prepare for Your Aerial and Virtual Tour Shoot

​​To get the best results from your session with Sky Media Pro, follow these simple prep steps before we arrive.

Exterior Prep: Aerial Photo/Video & 360° Virtual Tour

Yard & Grounds

  • Mow the lawn and trim bushes.

  • Remove cars from the driveway and avoid parking in front of the property.

  • Hide trash cans, hoses, tools, or lawn equipment.

  • Secure pets indoors or out of camera range.

  • Clean pool areas, patios, decks, and outdoor furniture.

Roof & Structure

  • Ensure the roof is clear of debris if roof footage is included.

  • Secure loose materials if the property is under construction.

Interior Prep: 360° Virtual Tour

General Cleanliness

  • Deep clean each room — the 360 camera captures everything.

  • Clear clutter from countertops, tables, and floors.

  • Replace any burned-out light bulbs and turn on all lights before the shoot.

Personal Items

  • Put away toiletries and valuables.

  • Remove pet bowls, crates, toys, and other visible pet-related items.

  • Note: Personal photos will automatically be blurred out, so there is no need to remove any pictures from the walls or surfaces unless you wish to. Conversely, any photos you wish to show in the virtual tour can be un-blurred individually.

Staging Tips

  • Make beds, fluff pillows, and neatly arrange blankets.

  • Open ALL blinds and curtains to let in natural light.

  • Hide cords, remotes, and unnecessary electronics.

What Not to Do

  • Please do not schedule cleaning, landscaping, or repairs during the shoot.

  • Avoid being in the camera's line of sight during a 360 shoot — we’ll let you know when to step out briefly.

  • Please don’t wait until the last minute — aim to complete prep at least 24 hours before the shoot.

Final Checklist

  • Lawn mowed, cars moved, yard cleared

  • Rooms clean and clutter-free

  • Lights on, blinds open

  • Pets secured or off-site

  • Personal items tucked away

  • You’re ready for stunning results!
